The life-changing news was confirmed at Disney Plus’s D23 Expo event in Anaheim on Friday.

The reboot will “revolve around Lizzie as a 30-year-old millennial navigating life in New York City.”

Duff, who is currently starring in the popular Stan series Younger, gave fans at the event a sneak insight into the new, more mature Lizzie.

“Lizzie has also grown up, she’s older, she’s wiser, she has a much bigger shoe budget,” she joked.

“She has her dream job, the perfect life right now working as an apprentice to a fancy New York City decorator. ”
