Former Home and Away actor Dieter Brummer has sadly died at the age of 45.
NSW Police confirmed this afternoon that a man had been found dead on Saturday at a home in the Sydney suburb of Glenhaven.
It’s since been confirmed that it was 45-year-old actor Dieter Brummer, best known for his roll as Shane Parrish on Home and Away.

Police say they’re not treating the death as suspicious.
One of Brummer’s family friends, Steve Comey, shared the “heartbreaking” news on Facebook this afternoon.
“We have lost a free spirit. Vale Dieter Brummer. Way too young. Way too soon.
“My sincerest, deepest condolences to his beautiful sister Karlene and all of Dieters family & friends. Keep flying young fella.”
Tributes and messages are now flowing on social media, with Chanel 7 also issuing a statement.
“Home and Away and Channel 7 are deeply saddened to hear of Dieter Brummer’s passing,” it reads.
“Dieter was a much-loved Home and Away cast member and celebrated by Australian and international audiences for his award-winning portrayal of Shane Parrish.
“We send our sincere condolences to Dieter’s family and friends during this very difficult time.”
Dieter also played the role of Troy Miller with Neighbours in 2021.
