House fire under investigation in Logan

Police will return to a property at Eagleby today to try and determine what started a blaze that has caused significant damage to a property overnight.

Around 9.45pm people who live next door to the Herses Road address spotted a fire in the residence and called emergency services.

The fire was extinguished but caused substantial structural damage to a third of the ground floor of the residence and extensive smoke and water damage to the remainder of the property.

No one was in the residence at the time of the fire and no one was injured during the incident.

At this time it is unknown if the fire is suspicious or not.

Paramedics were called to a structure fire on Herses Road at 9.39pm.

No patients were treated or transported.
