Home destroyed by fire in Gold Coast hinterland

A FAMILY has been found safe and well after their home was destroyed by fire in the Gold Coast hinterland this morning.

Around 9am, fire fighters were called to a home on Biddaddaba Creek Road in Biddaddaba which was engulfed in flame.

It took several crews over two hours to extinguish the fire.

Two cars were parked at the home during the fire, so fire fighters feared a man, woman and child may have been inside the house at the time of the blaze.

Authorities later said the family was located safe and well.
