A MAN who was bashed in a violent home invasion in the NSW Hunter region has been charged with more than a dozen drug offences.
Five men allegedly stormed the 23-year-old’s Ocean Avenue home at Anna Bay in Port Stephens about 2am on Wednesday.
One of the intruders allegedly assaulted the man, while the others ransacked his home.

Police said the men fled the scene in a car with a number of items including drugs, cash and a television.
The occupant was taken to Tomaree Hospital where he was treated for lacerations to his head.
Staff at the hospital called police who attended the man’s home and established a crime scene.
While searching the house, officers allegedly found a cocktail of drugs, including cannabis, MDMA, ketamine, amphetamine, LSD and magic mushrooms.
The occupant was arrested upon his release from hospital and taken to Nelson Bay Police Station where he was charged with 11 counts of possessing prohibited drugs, and three counts of drug supply.
Detectives from Port Stephens-Hunter Police District are continuing to investigate the home invasion.
