Hooded gunmen open fire outside French mosque
Gunmen have reportedly opened fire outside a mosque in France.
Local media say the scene in the city of Avignon has been placed into lockdown with a major manhunt underway.
It’s understood two men were involved in the shooting at the Arrahma mosque around 10.30pm local time and remain at large.
Several people, including a 7-year-old girl, have been wounded and rushed to local hospitals, The Telegraph reports.

French newspaper La Provence says police have ruled out a terrorist motive.
