IT’S tipped to be a warm start to the working week on the Gold Coast, with temperatures set to soar across the city.
The Bureau of Meteorology warns a ‘low to severe’ intensity heatwave will bake the Coast from tomorrow.
Locals and tourists are set to sweat in Surfers, with the mercury forecast to rise to 34 degrees on Monday.

This will be followed by 33 degrees on Tuesday, but it’ll be even warmer for those further inland.
Residents in Nerang and Coomera will swelter through a steamy 35 degrees on Monday, and again on Tuesday.
That’s seven degrees above the maximum long term average of 27.9 degrees typically seen in March.
Temperatures are forecast to begin abating from Wednesday, however, with storms possible on Friday.
