1029 Hot Tomato fundraiser to help 6yo Lilly Murphy buy a new wheelchair

Six-year-old Lilly Murphy is in desperate need of a new wheelchair and Gold Coasters are being urged to help.

Born with a rare joint, muscle and bone disorder called Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita, the young Gold Coaster has limited movement in her arms and legs as her joints are in a fixed fused position.

Lilly has been in a power wheel chair since the age of 2, however her current chair is getting old and is not functioning properly which has been limiting her independence.

Although having limited movement, a very creative Lilly has learnt how to paint with her mouth. Wanting a new chair desperately, Lilly decided she wanted to sell her unique artworks to raise the funds.

After hearing her inspiring story, 1029 Hot Tomato’s Flan & Emily Jade have decided to throw Lilly a fundraiser where she will be able to auction off 20 of her artworks.

All Gold Coasters are invited to attend the event which will be held on Monday 11 July at 6pm at the Royal Queensland Art Society in Broadbeach. If you would like to come along, please RSVP here: www.mygc.com.au/event/1029-hot-tomatos-love-lilly-fundraiser/
