With many GP’s closed due to torrential rain and flooding, Gold Coasters in need of urgent medical care are being advised that House Call Doctors are still operating.
People are being urged to ensure they keep Emergency wards for emergencies only, and to phone House Call Doctor on 13 55 66 if they need medical care overnight or throughout the wet weekend.
“Our team of experienced doctors will continue supporting families throughout Queensland when unexpected medical situations arise after-hours,” House Call Doctor’s Chief Operating Officer, Craig Glover, said today.

House Call Doctor services will continue operating throughout Brisbane, Ipswich, the Gold Coast, Toowoomba, the Sunshine Coast, Hervey Bay, Maryborough, Mackay, Gladstone, Bundaberg, Rockhampton, Townsville and Cairns.
“Even in wet weather, our priority is keeping families safe and healthy,” Mr Glover said.
“All House Call Doctors travel with a specially trained Chaperone, who can plan the safest route to each patient’s home.”
“Our trained chaperones and dispatch teams are equipped to deal with emerging weather situations, and our doctors will continue responding to urgent call-outs from families in rain affected areas,” Mr Glover said.
House Call Doctor phonelines open from 4.00 pm, and doctors are on the road from 6.00 pm every weeknight, from 12.00 noon on Saturdays and 24 hours on Sundays.
