House destroyed by fire in Sydney’s far west

A vacant house has been destroyed by fire in Sydney’s far west overnight.

Police were called to the house ablaze on Wedmore Road in Emu Heights at around 1.30am.

Fire crews worked to extinguish the blaze and save the home, but the property was destroyed.

Fortunately, no one was home at the time the blaze broke out.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are continuing.

At this stage, police say it is not being treated as suspicious.
