The volley of shots was fired through the front of the home and garage, reportedly by a person on a motorcycle.

Investigators have this afternoon released a series of grainy CCTV images of a motorcycle which they believe may have been used to facilitate the drive-by.

Two people can be seen on the motorcycle as it makes its way through Hope Island around the time of the shooting.

Police said some of the bullets fired into the Ferretti Crescent home became lodged in interior walls.

Fortunately, the man and woman who were inside the house at the time were not injured.

The house was declared a crime scene and has been crawling with detectives for most of the morning.

There are reports that the house and its occupants are known to the police.

No arrests have yet been made, with investigations ongoing to identify the shooter.

Anyone with any information that could assist police or who may have seen the motorcycle in the area around the time of the shooting is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
