Huge Gold Coast Titans convoy to head up the M1 for ‘Magic Round’

The Gold Coast Titans are getting excited to kick off round 9 on Thursday night with a huge Gold Coast crowd, when they take on the Cronulla Sharks in Brisbane.

Essentially, every single NRL game of Round 9 will be played this weekend at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, in what’s being dubbed the ‘Magic Round’.

More than 1250 Gold Coasters will be bussed up to catch the opening game, all sitting in the same section.

Titan’s wing Anthony Don says it will be great to have a huge Gold Coast crowd there to back the boys.

“Our season is almost on the line this week, that’s the way we’re viewing it.

“We’re going down there on Thursday night, there’s going to be a big contingent of Gold Coast Titans fans there to support us, cant wait to get up there,” Don said.

Tourism Minister Kate Jones is also extremely excited for the Magic Round, which holds a huge benefit for the entire state.

“We know through the deal we’ve done, to bring Magic Round to Brisbane, will inject around $60 million to the Queensland economy over the next three years,” Minister Jones said.

Mayor Tom Tate will be cheering on the Titans donning a custom made Titans jersey.

He had just two words to say on the matter today: ‘Go Titans’.
