Human remains found at the Gold Coast Seaway

WATER Police have been called to the Gold Coast Seaway after a fisherman found what was believed to be a human leg bone.

Police say the recreational diver made the grisly discovery in waters off The Southport Spit last Thursday and handed the bone into police over the Easter long weekend.

Initial information indicated the bone was human and it has since been sent to the John Tonge Centre for forensic examination.
