Human remains found in bushland identified as NSW father missing since 2012

Human remains, discovered in bushland in Colo Heights last month, have been confirmed as those of missing South Windsor man, Quinn Martin.

Mr Martin, 35, was last seen at a property on Putty Road at Colo Heights around 10.30pm on Friday 7 December 2012.

At the time, he was working at the rear of the 40 acre property, where he had earlier travelled to in the company of his partner and two of his five children.

Police from the Hawkesbury Local Area Command were notified about Mr Martin’s disappearance and formed Strike Force Vowel to investigate the matter.

Last month (Saturday 5 September 2015), after receiving information relevant to the case, police commenced a search near the location where Mr Martin was last seen.

The search took place over a number of days and resulted in officers locating human remains on both Wednesday 9 September 2015 and again on Saturday 12 September 2015.

The remains have today (Friday 9 October 2015) been confirmed as those of Mr Martin.

Strike Force Vowel detectives continue their investigation.
