Human remains found in NSW river believed to be missing 21-year-old
A crime scene has been set up after human remains were found in a river in southern NSW.
A passerby made the grim discovery around 4.40pm on Thursday, after coming across the remains floating near a boat ramp in the Murray River.
Officers attached to Murray River Police District rushed to the site, and established a crime scene approximately 100 metres east of Kremur Street at West Albury.
The remains have been sent for forensic examination, however police believe they may belong to a 21-year-old man who went missing in the Murray River at West Albury in January this year.
Investigations are ongoing.
