Human remains found in sand dunes on NSW beach

DETECTIVES are investigating the discovery of human remains, found on a beach on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales.

It’s understood the discovery was made at a beach in Tuncurry around 3.30pm on Wednesday.

The remains were reportedly found in sand dunes along Nine Mile Beach. It remains unclear whether they belong to a male or female.


It’s believed the remains may have been at the scene for “some time”.

Investigators are now working to identify the person and establish the circumstances surrounding their death.
