Humpback whale stranded on northern NSW beach
A rescue operation is currently underway to save a humpback whale stranded on a beach on the NSW mid-north coast.
The nine-metre humpback washed up at Sawtell around 7.00am.
It was spotted by beachgoers who raised the alarm.
Rescue crews are on scene attempting to assist the animal back to sea.
