Hundreds of dental kits will make their way to locals in need following a generous donation to Gold Coast charity Walk With Us.
The local not-for-profit organisation will receive more than 200 dental kits from Coastal Dental Care to distribute those doing it tough in the Gold Coast community.
Walk With Us co-founder Nikki Luke told myGC the donation is very much appreciated.

“We’ve stayed in touch with Coastal Dental Care since winning a Cash For Charity competition on myGC earlier this year,” she said.
“We had been getting really low on toothbrushes and toothpaste, so they are going to help us out.
“It’s awesome because those kits are going to go to the homeless and those doing it tough.”
During the pandemic, the charity has been providing food and toiletry hampers to those in need.
“More families have been getting in touch with us, as well as individuals that may have a roof over their head but they are struggling to put food on the table once they have paid their rent and bills.”
“We’ve been working with Volunteering Gold Coast, we’ve been making the hampers and they have been delivering them for us.”
The charity is also busy planning a sleepout event at Burleigh later this month to raise much needed funds to build a Walk With Us hub.
“We would love a hub – a place where people can get off the streets for the day, they can come have a shower, do their washing, have some food and feel safe,” she said.
Ms Luke said the event details will be released soon, with locals encouraged can stay up to date via: walkwithusgc.org.au/
