UPDATE @ 11.00AM | Energex has restored power to hundreds of homes on the Gold Coast this morning.
Approximately 200 properties were still without power in Broadbeach at the time of writing.
EARLIER @ 9.30AM | Another 200 homes have lost power on the Gold Coast this Christmas morning, with Energex crews still working to restore supply.

200 homes are now out in Broadbeach, while 470 homes are out in Broadbeach Waters, 170 in Bundall and 760 in Surfers Paradise.
The outages began around 7.30am this morning.
EARLIER @8.00AM | Hundreds of Gold Coast families have woken to a power outage on Christmas morning, as a result of the wild weather received throughout the southeast overnight.
While the rainfall was welcome and much needed, thousands of homes were affected by power outages throughout the night and this morning.
As of 8.00am, around 1,500 homes in the southeast were still down, including homes in Bundall, Broadbeach Waters and Surfers Paradise.
Energex says it is working to repair the supply immediately, though it has been a busy night.
Across the southeast, approximately 15,000 homes went dark overnight, with Energex crews working through the night to restore power to most of the homes.
