Around 700 homes and businesses are without power on the Gold Coast this morning.
It’s understood downed powerlines have caused the outage, with more than 682 properties in Burleigh Heads blacked out.
Fourteen homes in Bureligh Waters have also been affected.
The outage has caused a number of traffic light outages in the area as well, with motorists urged to drive with caution.
Energex crews are working to fix the issue.
