There’s been carnage on a rural road in New South Wales, with hundreds of sheep killed in a horror rollover near Bathurst.
The accident happened just after 10.00am on Tuesday along O’Connell Road at O’Connell.
It’s understood a B-Double stock truck, which had 551 sheep on board, lost control and overturned.

Despite desperate efforts by emergency crews and local vets, about 225 of the animals were pronounced deceased whilst several had to be euthanised.
The driver of the truck, a 25-year-old man managed to escape uninjured.
He was breath tested at the scene and returned a negative result
Police say no charges have been laid at this stage and investigations are ongoing.
