Hunt ruled out of SUNS v Eagles clash

JUST a week after returning to the AFL, Gold Coast midfielder Karmichael Hunt will miss tomorrow’s match against West Coast in Perth.

The high-profile code-hopper has failed to overcome a knee injury which was aggravated during last weekend’s loss to Sydney.

The SUNS website reports General Manager of Football Operations, Marcus Ashcroft confirmed the news.

“Karmichael reported knee soreness to our medical staff following the side’s match against Sydney,” Ashcroft said.

“He was unable to complete training (this week), but we’re confident he will be available next week.”

After finding form in the NEAFL, Aaron Hall and Alex Sexton have been rewarded with a senior recall.
