Earlier at 6:45am on September 7, 2016: A hydroponic cannabis crop has been found during a search of a home in Pacific Pines on Tuesday afternoon.

Detectives executed a search warrant at an address on Moorea Court.

They will allege the home had been modified and was being used as a hydroponic cannabis production site.

During the search 71 plants were seized.

A 40-year-old Helensvale man has been charged with one count of produce dangerous drug and is due to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
