Ibrahim shot in Sydney CBD

A MAN who was shot in Sydney’s CBD last night has been identified as brother of Kings Cross nightclub identity John Ibrahim.

Michael Ibrahim, 36, was shot in the shoulder on Macquarie Street, just 300m from where the Lindt siege took place, about 10:30pm last night and rushed to Sydney Hospital in a stable condition.

It is alleged multiple shots were fired with only one reaching Ibrahim.

The cause of the shooting is not yet clear as police continue to investigate.

Michael Ibrahim, was released from jail late last year after being convicted of manslaughter in 2006.
