A popular brand of ice cream has been recalled amid fears containers could contain pieces of plastic.
1.25 and 2L tubs of Blue Ribbon ice cream have been pulled from the shelves across Australia by Unilever.
The recall issued on Wednesday night, detailed that pieces of plastic had already been found in some tubs.

Products with a best before date from April 28, 2018 onwards are not affected.
Unilever said the pieces of plastic ended up in the containers via machinery during the production process at Sydney’s Minto factory.
A statement read “consumers are advised not to eat the affected products and should return empty ice-cream tubs to the place of purchase for a full refund”.
