LEGENDARY American singer-songwriter Melissa Etheridge has been added to the star-studded line-up for Bluesfest Byron Bay.
The Grammy winning rocker, pictured, will take to the stage for the March 2016 festival, as part of her This Is M.E. Australian tour.

Fans can expect to hear some of her new songs along with a long list of favourites including ‘I’m The Only One’, ‘Bring Me Some Water’ and ‘Like the Way I Do’.
Bluesfest Festival Director, Peter Noble also expects the breast cancer survivor to share personal stories about her remarkable journey through life and the inspiration behind some of her most beloved songs.
“Melissa is a legend – an inspiration to so many – a simply brilliant live performer,” Mr Noble said.
“(Her) set at Bluesfest will be remembered as one of the great performances. Melissa Etheridge is a leader – she is a great musician, a great campaigner for human rights, an environmentalist, a cancer survivor, it is simply an honour to present her at Bluesfest and on her Australian tour.”
Bluesfest Touring has also announced a number of additional sideshows happening around Bluesfest next March and April including the Grammy award winning Blues and Roots Rock group Tedeschi Trucks Band, The Decemberists, The Word, Nahko & Medicine For The People and Allen Stone.
They join Tom Jones, Noel Gallagher, UB40 and The Cat Empire for the Easter festival.
