Iconic Steakhouse closing to make way for new development

The award-winning and iconic Cav’s Steakhouse – which has been serving Gold Coast locals and visitors for 32 years – is set to close its doors in the coming months.

Owner Richard Cavill says the restaurant doors will be shut in early 2017 to make way for the new ‘inspire’ residential and commercial development on the Broadwater Central site.

Cav’s Steakhouse opened its doors in 1984, and quickly became one of the Gold Coast’s most popular restaurants with premium aged steaks, fresh seafood, pasta and other specialty dishes.

It won a string of prestigious awards including the Restaurant and Caterer’s Association of Queensland’s People’s Choice Award, Best Family Restaurant, Best Steakhouse and Hall of Fame Awards.

Mr Cavill’s passion for quality meat led to the opening of a unique boutique butcher shop next door to the restaurant in 2011.
