“It’s been an absolute blast but it’s time for me to go and do something new.
“Tomorrow is going to be my last day on the show. As a thank you to you at home, we’re putting together something special to celebrate. There’ll be laughs and there’ll be tears.”
It’s not yet been revealed who will replace Sonia on the morning show, as well as The Voice, which she has also hosted over the years.
However, Nine confirmed Sylvia Jeffreys will be co-hosting alongside David Campbell for the time being.
“It won’t be the same without Sonia. She and David have great chemistry together and make the show enjoyable to watch. Good luck with your new ventures. You’ll be sadly missed,” one person commented.
“Sad you are leaving. Love your laughs and the brightness you bring to everyone’s day! Wishing you all the very best for the future and hope to see you on television somewhere very soon. Thank you for the memories,” wrote another.
There’s reports Sonia will be returning to the Seven Network in 2020, with speculation she may be hosting the reboot of Big Brother Australia.
