Police are investigating after a disabled woman was sexually assaulted in Sydney’s south-west last week.
About 9.20pm on Sunday 30 August 2015, a 23-year-old intellectually disabled woman was sexually assaulted by a man in Nelson Road, Yennora, next to the railway station.
The man was sitting with the victim in a city-bound train when he attempted to strike up a conversation with the woman.
After getting off the train at Yennora Railway Station, the man sexually assaulted her.
Detectives from Holroyd Local Area Command are investigating the incident and have released CCTV of a man they believe can assist with their inquiries.
He is depicted as being Caucasian in appearance with a skinny build, about 180 to 185cm tall with brown hair and a beard. He is wearing blue jeans and a green top.
Police are hoping to identify the man, as well as his two companions, who may be able to assist with inquiries.
It is believed that two companions may not have been involved in the incident.
