Information pack better prepares new parents

NEW Gold Coast parents can now leave hospital with information to better prepare them for the early stages of parenthood.

Parents need not to worry about the stress of leaving the safety of maternity wards following the introduction of the new Parent Pack.

The pack, put together by Gold Coast Health, is full of information and includes important contacts for external support services.

Mayor Tom Tate handed out the first pack this morning and said from his experience, it’ll be a great help.

“The Parent Pack is an informative resource on some of the key programs and services available for young families, all contained in a handy folder,” Cr Tate said.

They will be distributed to new parents at Gold Coast University Hospital, Pindara Private Hospital and John Flynn Private Hospital.
