Inquest hears Father used to bang baby’s head on brick wall

AN inquest into the death of a three week old baby boy has continued today, with more horrifying details revealed.

Bjay Johnstone died in the Royal Hobart Hospital in 2012 from horrific injuries when he was just 45 days old.

The baby’s father Simon Adam Johnstone, who is currently in jail, has been named as a person of interest in the child’s death.

At the inquest into the baby’s death yesterday, it was revealed that he suffered multiple skull fractures which may have been caused by someone standing on the infant’s head, or being hit with a cricket bat.

However, more horrifying details of what the innocent baby went through in its early days of life have emerged today, with the youngsters mother revealing Johnstone used to bang the baby’s head against a brick wall.

The inquest will hear from another two witnesses later today.
