At the inquest into the baby’s death yesterday, it was revealed that he suffered multiple skull fractures which may have been caused by someone standing on the infant’s head, or being hit with a cricket bat.

However, more horrifying details of what the innocent baby went through in its early days of life have emerged today, with the youngsters mother revealing Johnstone used to bang the baby’s head against a brick wall.

The inquest will hear from another two witnesses later today.
