For many years in Australia, there have been surfers that have had to overcome physical disability to be able to get back into the ocean.
These inspirational surfers have proven themselves to be resilient and creative by adapting their own techniques to achieve their goals, and this weekend they will be battling it out against each other in the 2nd annual nudie Australian Adaptive Surfing Titles (AAST).
The AAST, which is a two day event that aims to not only crown Australian Champions but gather the Adaptive Surfing community together, will be held on the Tweed Coast.

Not only have the incredible athletes developed their own exciting brand of surfing, but they’re building a strong comradery and a competitive edge within the group.
MyGC caught up with two Australian Champions, Mark “Mono” Stewart and Dale Taylor, and it’s evident that everyone can find inspiration from their stories and the people who are passionately supporting the growth of Adaptive Surfing.
