International cricket comes to the Gold Coast

A HANDFUL of international cricket matches will be held on the Gold Coast this month.

Over the long weekend, Australian women’s team the Southern Stars took down Pakistan at Robina in the first two matches of a four match series. The remaining matches will be played on 3 and 5 September.

This weekend, the South Australian XI go up against Papua New Guinea in T20 and one-day matches.


Ireland’s national cricket team will make its Australian debut on 30 September when it takes on the Queensland Bulls as part of its 2015 One-Day Cricket World Cup preparations.

All matches will be held at Kerrydale Oval, Robina with free admission.
