Investigation into alleged Currumbin school assault finalised

Detectives from the Gold Coast Child Protection and Investigation Unit have finalised their investigation into the alleged assault of a 15-year-old boy at a school at Currumbin on Wednesday 8 June.

It is alleged during the incident the boy had his neck restrained in a head lock position before losing consciousness and striking his head on the ground.

A 16-year-old boy from Palm Beach will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.


Queensland Police state that this is all the information that can be released about this matter at this time.
