A post-mortem is set to be conducted on the body of a baby found in a shallow grave at a Sydney beach.
Its tiny body was found by two boys, 6 & 7, as they bug in the sand at the southern end of Maroubra Beach on Sunday.
A post-mortem will be conducted on Monday as police continue to scour hospital and registry records and CCTV footage from nearby in the search for the baby’s parents.

Police can’t tell the baby’s sex, age or cause of death because of the advanced state of decomposition.
They’re trawling through hospital and other records to find the baby’s parents and hold grave concerns for the mother’s welfare.
The boys who found the baby are receiving counselling.
