All passengers of the bus had already exited the vehicle prior to the incident, and the driver was the only remaining occupant.
The van was reportedly stationery at the time of the incident, in the process of being unloaded by three men.
Two of the men, aged 35 and 42, were standing at the rear of the vehicle and suffered serious leg injuries, with one air lifted to St Vincent’s Hospital, and the other taken by road.
The third man, 29, was treated at the scene for cuts and bruises, while the driver of the van, a 33-year-old woman was uninjured.
The bus driver was taken to hospital for mandatory testing, but was uninjured in the crash.
Sydney City Local Area Command is continuing investigations into the circumstances leading up to the crash.
