Police are hoping to speak with the driver of an SUV, after a massive multi-vehicle crash in Tweed Heads yesterday.
The 44-year-old woman is currently receiving treatment in hospital, after her Toyato Prado collided with a number of cars along Dry Dock Road.
The Prado was seen overtaking cars on the wrong side of the road shortly before crashing into an oncoming car just before 4.30pm.

It then spun out of control and hit another car, then a power pole, then a parked car with a boat attached.
An 82-year-old woman who was trapped in the passenger seat of one of the vehicles had to be hospitalised.
While two women in their 50s, three 16-year-olds and a 13-year-old girl all suffered minor injuries.
The road was closed for almost two hours while the scene was examined, and the wreckage removed.
Inquiries are continuing.
