Investigations underway after horror multi-vehicle crash, Tweed Heads

Police are hoping to speak with the driver of an SUV, after a massive multi-vehicle crash in Tweed Heads yesterday.

The 44-year-old woman is currently receiving treatment in hospital, after her Toyato Prado collided with a number of cars along Dry Dock Road.

The Prado was seen overtaking cars on the wrong side of the road shortly before crashing into an oncoming car just before 4.30pm.

It then spun out of control and hit another car, then a power pole, then a parked car with a boat attached.

An 82-year-old woman who was trapped in the passenger seat of one of the vehicles had to be hospitalised.

While two women in their 50s, three 16-year-olds and a 13-year-old girl all suffered minor injuries.

The road was closed for almost two hours while the scene was examined, and the wreckage removed.

Inquiries are continuing.

The crazy junkie that crashed in drydock road it’s a miracle you did not kill anyone over 150 km an hr in a fifty zone not one break mark before you plowed into the boat ramp an the cars how U didn’t kill a kid there on a Sunday afternoon or anyone U hit I f***ing don’t no I’m glad U didn’t tho I hope they charge U with attempted murder not just some bull s*** pleb driving infringement that lets U behind a four tone death trap again. f*** you lady

Yes, My wife, mother in-law and cousin were in the Citroen C4 that was crashed into head on, I’m extremely lucky they are alive after someone’s foolish stupidity. Lock her up!
