Investigations underway into alleged match fixing in the NRL
A new rugby league match fixing scandal is reportedly being investigated.
Without addressing the exact match in question, the League says it is continuing to co-operate with authorities into match fixing allegations.
“Our position has not changed…we will take whatever action is necessary to protect our game,” a spokesman said.
“Anyone convicted of match fixing can expect to be banned for life but, at this stage, no one has been charged and we should avoid jumping to conclusions.”
Police are investigating an unusual bet on the @SeaEagles and @TheParraEels game from round seven this year. #9News
