Investigations underway into drowning at Sydney beach

Police are investigating a drowning on Sydney’s northern beaches.

About 4.35pm Tuesday 24 November 2015, police and Ambulance Paramedics were called to Curl Curl beach after reports a man fell into the water about two hundred metres south of the rock pool.

The man was brought to shore by lifesavers but he was unable to be revived and died at the scene.

No information on his identity is available at this stage.

Initial investigations suggest the man was rock fishing at the time.

Police from Northern Beaches Local Area Command will prepare a report for the Coroner.
