Investigations underway after Logan shopping centre goes up in flames

Police are appealing for witnesses after a shopping centre at Rochedale South went up in flames overnight.

Just after midnight, a member of the public contacted emergency services after spotting the fire at the Underwood Road centre.

Firies rushed to the scene and managed to extinguish the flames, however the centre was extensively damaged.


Scientific officers will examine the scene this morning in an attempt to identify the cause.

In the meantime, police are appealing for anyone who has information or dashcam vision of the area to contact police.
