Investigations underway after two Qld sex workers robbed

An investigation is underway after two female sex workers were robbed in separate incidents in South Brisbane District over the past two nights.

Police say that around 8.30pm on Tuesday night a man who had arranged to meet a 30-year-old woman at a West End residence, threatened the woman with a knife.

Two other men also entered the unit and pushed the woman to the ground before rummaging through the apartment.

A sum of money and two mobile phones were stolen before all three men left the apartment.

In a separate incident, police believe the same man made an arrangement with a 27-year-old woman to meet at her South Brisbane apartment around 8.30pm last night.

During the meeting, the man stole a sum of cash before leaving the address and sending threatening messages to the woman.

The man is described as being aged in his early 40s, about 175cm tall with an olive complexion, a ‘European accent’ and dark short hair.

Investigations are continuing.
