Investigators probe Gold Coast house fire
Investigations are underway into a fire that has destroyed a home in Gaven.
Emergency services were called to the home on High Ridge Rd at around 3pm on Sunday afternoon.
The blaze is understood to have started in the garage with neighbours reporting hearing an explosion before the fire spread to the rest of the property.
The home was well alight when fire crews arrived with the roof of the home collapsing a short time later.
It took crews around 90 minutes to bring the blaze under control.
No one was inside the home at the time.
Police say the fire is not being treated as suspicious with early indications suggesting an electrical fault may be to blame.
