“It still hasn’t sunk in” Gold Coast woman in shock after Lotto win

A lucky Gold Coast woman is more than half a million dollars richer after winning division one in Saturday’s Gold Lotto draw.

The woman, from Carrara, discovered she had scooped the life-changing prize of $621,499.92 after jumping online to check her ticket yesterday.

“It was such a shock but the best surprise I’ve had all my life!” The excited woman told The Lott.

“I was at home yesterday when I decided to jump online and check my ticket.

“I was in pure disbelief. It was such an unusual feeling. I really couldn’t believe it… It still hasn’t sunk in!”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her prize, the woman said she was still unsure as she was still coming to terms with the news.

“I don’t know exactly how I will use it,” she said.

“I’ve never ever thought about what I would do if I won the lottery so I am a bit stuck at the moment… It’s just so surreal.

“The one thing I do know it that I will be sharing it with my family!”

The Gold Coaster, who purchased her ticket from the Carrara Village Newsagency, was one of eight people across the country who had a division one winning entry in Saturday’s draw.

Three were from Victoria, three were from Queensland, while two were from New South Wales.
