Fans of former garden makeover program Backyard Blitz will soon be seeing a familiar face back on their TV screens…
Gardening guru and television host Jamie Durie has announced he’s joining Channel 7’s hit renovating show House Rules.
The Australian horticulturalist and furniture designer who shot to fame in the 2000s, will be joining Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and Wendy Moore as an expert judge on the upcoming season, replacing architect Drew Heath.

Rikkie Proost, Channel 7’s head of unscripted production said he’s “thrilled to welcome Jamie back to Seven.”
“Durie’s expertise and keen-eye for design will be invaluable on House Rules,” Proost said.

Durie, who was also the host of the Seven Network’s 2008 lifestyle program The Outdoor Room, added that he “couldn’t be more excited” about the new role.
“I’m looking forward to getting my teeth into all things design on one of Australia’s favourite design shows; House Rules,” he said.
