Gold Coast V8 supercars competitor Jamie Whincup pulled off a podium finish in the final race at Phillip Island, Victoria on Sunday.
The Holden star crossed the line in third place, behind Kiwi Scott McLaughlin and team mate and winner Craig Lowndes.
Ford driver Mark Winterbottom was fourth. Frosty was on track for a podium finish but found himself in fourth after he was bumped and then overtaken by Whincup.

Whincup is well out of contention for the championship, in seventh place in the standings.
Winterbottom now needs to place 14th or better at next month’s Sydney 500.
He goes in to the final round at Homebush 179 points ahead of Lowndes.
Fellow Ford competitor David Reynolds is third overall.
