Jane McGrath’s best friend has tea with the PM at Kirribilli House

The McGrath Foundation is marking more than a decade since it was formed.

Jane and cricketer husband Glenn McGrath started the Foundation in 2002.

She was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1997 and went through many different procedures before losing her battle in June 2008.

Today best friend and fellow WAG Tracy Bevan, who married former professional cricketer Michael Bevan, still works hard to raise awareness via the Foundation.

It is a charity that raises money to send breast care nurses into rural and regional Australia and has collected over $12 million so far.

Tracy recently enjoyed tea with the Prime Minister at Kirribilli House.  The Federal Government has donated $18 million over four years, which pays for 57 breast care nurses.

In April UK born Tracy opened up to the Women’s Weekly about escaping from her “abusive father”.
