Embattled NRL star Jarryd Hayne has arrived back in Sydney as he faces questions over rape allegations made in the US.
Hayne touched down this morning after a religious holiday in Tel Aviv and was ushered out a side entrance by Australian Federal Police to avoid waiting media.
The 29-year-old is facing a civil suit in California after a woman claimed she was sexually assaulted in December 2015 when Hayne was playing NFL for the San Francisco 49ers.

The woman made a complaint to Police six months later but charges were never laid because of a lack of evidence.
It wasn’t until October 2016 that the District Attorney rejected the case, two months after he signed with the Gold Coast Titans.
The club says it was never aware of the allegations while the Parramatta Eels say they only found out when the case went public last week.
Hayne issued a statement through his lawyers ‘unequivocally and vehemently’ denying the allegations.
The NRL Integrity Unit plans to quiz Hayne about the claims.
