The weather was perfect and the racing extraordinary at the $10 million Jeep Magic Millions Raceday on Saturday.
Thousands of Gold Coasters joined royalty and celebrities at the Gold Coast Turf Club for one of the biggest racedays of the year.
VIPs escaped the scorching heat in the luxurious Jewel Marquee, which was decked out in bright yellow decor inspired by Dorothy Draper. An endless supply of Moet & Chandon was on tap to cool down the lucky attendees, while a decadent buffet ensured no one went hungry on the day.

Star attraction inside the marquee was Royal Zara Phillips, who happily chatted to media and celebrities throughout the day with husband Mike Tindall closely by her side. The Queen’s granddaughter wore a stunning purple Ellery dress for the occasion.

The fashion was equally impressive right outside the Jewel marquee, where the Myer Fashions on the Field competition was being held. Inessa McIntyre took out the women’s section, taking home over $27,000 worth of prizes. While Kaan Wittall won the Men’s section, scoring himself over $9000 worth of goodies.
On the track, unbeaten colt Capitalist had a breathtaking win in the $2 million Jeep Magic Millions 2YO Classic. However, the highlight of the day was seeing Melbourne Cup winning jockey Michelle Payne continue her winning streak with victory aboard Husson Eagle in the day’s final event, the Myer Magic Millions Sprint.
