Jehovah’s Witness charged with indecently assaulting four boys over 20 years

A JEHOVAH’s Witness has been charged with indecently assaulting four teenage boys over a 20 year period in Perth.

The 44-year-old man was last Tuesday arrested by detectives from the Child Abuse Squad following ongoing investigations stemming from the Royal Commission into Institutional Child Sexual Offences.

It will be alleged that, between 1993 and 2013, the man indecently assaulted four boys aged between 14 and 16.


According to WA Police, the alleged offences occurred in the suburbs of Mundaring and Chidlow.

The accused was an active member of the Mundaring Jehovah Witness Congregation at the time.

He has since been charged with four counts of Unlawful and Indecent Assault and one count of Indecently Dealing with a child over 13 and under 16 years of age.

The 44-year-old is due to front Midland Magistrates Court on Tuesday, May 23.
