Jennifer Aniston smashes Guinness World Record set by Meghan & Harry

Sorry Harry and Megs, but you can’t blame Jen for having more FRIENDS…

It only took five hours and 16 minutes for Jennifer Aniston to break a Guinness World Record AND send the internet into overdrive yesterday.

The Friends star made her debut on Instagram on Wednesday and judging by the reaction she received on social media, it’s clear fans had been waiting a lonngggggg time for the day to arrive.

The 50-year-old actress officially set a new record for the fastest time to reach one million followers, a record previously set Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s @sussexroyal Instagram account in April.

According to Guinness World Records, it took the Royals five hours and 45 minutes to reach one million followers, while Aniston managed to smash it in just 5 hours and 16 minutes.

The much-loved Friends star used her first-ever Instagram post to share a selfie with her co-stars Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt Leblanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer.

There’s no surprise that the selfie, mixed with Jen joining Instagram for the first time, caused the site to temporarily crash as millions of fans rushed to follow her account.

Aniston made light of the technical issue, sharing a video of herself getting frustrated at her mobile phone to her Instagram account.

“I swear I didn’t mean to break it … Thanks for the kind, glitchy welcome everyone,” she wrote alongside the video.
